Highlighting Atlanta's own favorite photographer-Jimi Flix, close to 300 guests attended the opening to see what all of the excitement was about.

As a child, I always remember Denise cooking and baking (especially with her"Easy Bake Oven")and I will be honest, she would create some things that just made your mouth water at the smell of it (my favorite were the "Blue Cookies" she used to make with the waffle iron) and then there were times that you would say-"let me see you eat it first." LOL!

But as any chef will tell you-you learn from your mistakes, and make no mistake about this, she has truly mastered her craft!

Chocolates & Stilettos, is quickly becoming a hometown favorite in Columbus, Ohio. But her creations have also started to get a buzz nationally as well, in places such as Atlanta, New York, California, Miami, and internationally in places such London & Iraq, with the help of social media sites such as Facebook & Twitter.

My favorites are her "Chocolate Ganache Mini Bundt Cake", the "Lemon Rum Pound Cake" and her chocolate cookies dipped in white chocolate with roasted almonds in it. YUM!

Denise's newest creation...drum roll please-the "Buckeye Cookie," I can't wait to taste it. I believe my box should be coming in the mail this week, if not, I will have to FB harass her! (joke-but I'm forereal)

Denise's goal is to someday open her very own bakery/store in hot spots such as New York, L.A. & Atlanta and of course to be a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show. (SMILES)

Strivers Row is mostly familiar amongst New Yorkers, however, with the help of store owners-Jason Geter(Grand Hustle) & Tia Jones, it will also become familiar to Atlantans, particulary in the Virginia Highlands.
Wednesday, May 20, 2009-Strivers Row, celebrated their grand opening reception with a few close family and friends.
Lining the streets of V.Highlands with tricked out cars, courtesy of Red Performance, passer-byers began to cause a bit of a traffic jam, with all of the rubber-necking, trying to get a peek of what was going on.
Strivers Row is a clothing boutique featuring mens & womens clothes and accessories.
Remy Martin Cognac provided complimentary cocktails for the evenings festivities.
While most guests mixed and mingled, other guests, took advantage of the shopping opportunity as they were offered an additional 20% off their purchase only available that evening.

THE DOGS HAD THEIR DAY @ GLAMOUR PAWS GRAND OPENING!

Saturday, May 16, 2009-was the grand opening reception for Glamour Paws, an accessories and grooming boutique for dogs and cats. But on Saturday, it was all about the dogs and boy did they come out and put on a show, just to flaunt their fashions on the red carpet. (SMILES) Dressed in miniture tuxedos and sparkly dresses, not to mention a couple of dogs even showed up with shades on. LOL! I guess that was for the best as the "pupparazzi" photograghers were making sure that they did not miss one photo opp.
Guests mixed and mingled while DJ Salah Ananse, kept the dogs tails wagging to the sounds of Snoop Doggy-Dog, Bow-Wow, (when he was Lil'), Atomic Dog and many other dog tune favorites.
Justin's Restaurant & Bar, served their savory chicken skewers and vegetable empanadas and guests were going crazy over the petit fors decorated with none other than a paw print.
And no your eyes did not deceive you, as servers were passing doggie bones and martini shaped dog treats especially made for all the furry friends.
Glamour Paws has received a very warm welcome from the Virginia Highlands neighborhood and is quickly becoming a destination boutique for dog/cat owners.
The prices are suprisingly affordable, not what you would expect from a place that looks just as glamourous as its' name.

Please go by and peek your head in or make a purchase or two. You will never go back to that "other" doggie boutique again.

And, on Friday's-Glamour Paws, hosts an in store Yappie Hour, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. (Complimentary wine for the humans-smiles & complimentary treats for the dogs.

Last night's grand opening was splendid.
Mo & Suzy be proud, you did an excellent job with the space.
Special thank you to Justin's Restaurant & Bar for providing the delectable menu of chicken skewers, jerk chicken wings, jerk chicken eggrolls and Justin's famous mini red velvet cakes. (Justin's is celebrating 10 years)-Please go back and revisit them soon.

They all looked fabulous wearing the themed color for the evening-PINK!
